WHO WE ARE

Bhansali and Company is a professionally managed
export house of CTC, Orthodox & Darjeeling tea with superlative expertise and a history and tradition of four generations and over 90 years in the tea trade.

It is owned and controlled by the Bhansali family and is headquartered in Kolkata.

Our commitment to quality is attested by consistently being amongst the top exporters of Indian tea for over 50 years.

OPERATIONS

We purchase tea from all the major auction centres as well as directly from tea gardens in North & South India. Our long-standing relationships with sellers ensure extremely competitive pricing and timely deliveries.

 

We operate two  blending facilities in  Kolkata and Coimbatore, which serve as hubs for North Indian and South Indian tea respectively.

 

Our offices in Kolkata serve as the central hub for all trading, tasting, quality and R&D operations.

 

The CIS countries and the Middle East are significant markets for us.

 

We are one of the few merchants to receive the prestigious Two Star Export House Certification for Excellence in Exports by the Government of India.We are also an ISO 9001, ISO 22000 & HACCP Certified Company.

As much as we treasure our relationships with existing clients, we believe constant growth is only possible if we engage and gain access to new markets and clients. We use world-class shipment & cargo, warehousing & banking facilities in order to attain this goal of breaking into new markets. We follow the strictest hygiene protocols and quality checks throughout the production chain, and every single shipment and batch of tea is assessed for quality and compliance by independent assessors.

Our attention to detail and business ethic has ensured consistency of quality operations and legendary reliability despite market turbulence and shocks. Although Bhansali and Company is a professionally managed firm, three generations of the family are closely involved in the day to day operations and personally oversee tasting, blending, buying and sales.
